Zapier Integration

How to connect and use Zapier integrator software to connect other applications with Fresh Proposals.

Note: Currently this integration is available to Professional / WE CAN FLY plan.

You can Integrate other applications with Fresh Proposals using Zapier too.

You can find the Zapier integration option in Integrations page

Copy API Key from Fresh Proposal and use it while connecting Fresh Proposals in Zapier interface.

Zapier is integrator/automation platform which allows you to connect two different applications and automate your business flow. 

Just below the Zap-key, you will also find some of the ready to use Zap Templates

Once you register with Zapier, you can find Fresh Proposals application in the list to integrate.

Decide your use case / flow

But before you jump to any of the Zap templates or create flow, you will need to decide on the business flow you are trying to automate. 

Triggers and actions

Zapier has triggers and actions for connected applications. If you are not sure of what are triggers and actions, please go through trigger, actions guide.

Using Fresh Proposals in Zap Actions

Fresh Proposals can receive data based on third party application trigger and perform few actions like create client + contact, create proposal based on template id.

Let's look at how to use other application's trigger to create client, contact and proposal in Fresh Proposals: We will create a new Zap.

We will use Google Sheet as an example wherein each row represents a client company with contacts details. New row added will create new client and/or contact in Fresh Proposals.

Select other App & its details in Trigger

App Selection, Trigger details

Select appropriate Google Account, Google Worksheet, Google Sheet. Example shown in the screenshot  below.

Select Fresh Proposals App & Event 

There are two events available each one to create client company + Client contact and to create proposal using template id; as shown below.

We will take the first example to create client & contact

Select your Fresh Proposals account, select CreateClient action and map fields received from Google Sheet to appropriate fields of Fresh Proposals. You can also see field values received from Google Sheet for better clarity.

Map Custom Fields in Fresh Proposals Action

You can also map column+ values received from third party app (in this case Google Sheet) to map to custom fields of Clients and Contacts in Fresh Proposals. Make sure, you have custom fields configured in your account. Please refer to custom fields guide.

Fresh Proposals checks if existing client company or contact in a given client exists. If company exists, it will add the contact to existing company, instead of creating new one.

Using Fresh Proposals in Zap Triggers

Let's create Zap with Fresh Proposals as Trigger. It will look like this once published.

To create Zap with Fresh Proposals trigger, select your Fresh Proposals account in the trigger

Following Fresh Proposal triggers are available while using Zapier integration

We will use Fresh Proposals - 'Proposal Accepted' as a trigger to save proposal information to a Google Sheet. So, this Google sheet will have the list of proposals accepted.

Select Fresh Proposals Account  Account

You can test the trigger and view recent data for accepted proposal

It passes proposal information for the next application to take action, it also include, ees table values if available.

You can also see custom field values if your account is configured to have custom fields and this proposal has custom fields values available.

In the next step, you can select the trigger event for which you would like to automate the business activity

Google Sheet Action

In this step you can select desired App and connect it. We are using Google Sheet as an example, so it will look like this

Select event : what you would like to do with the data : create a new row.

Connect appropriate Google sheet account & select desired worksheet, sheet, etc.

Map data received from Fresh Proposals to desired cells (you can use different fields in case of another application)

You can also map custom fields if you would like to

You are ready to publish the Zap.
