Assign Signee to eSignature
Once a signature is added to your proposal, it should be assigned to client contact(s) and internal contact (as appropriate).

Remember, a template does not have a client hence you can not assign signature to client in a template.
Self-Sign the Proposal as Proposer
Assign Signature with You as a Signatory
You can self-sign the proposal. The proposal should have e-signature block added to it and it should be assigned to you (as shown in the above video).
Self-Sign
To self-sign the proposal, you can click on the preview button, and you will see an option in right side panel to self-sign
When Client Signs the Proposal
Once client views your proposal s/he can sign the proposal by simply clicking on the Accept button.
Remember, if you have disabled the Accept button in proposal settings, your client will not be able to see the accept button and s/he can not accept, sign the proposal.
As client clicks on the accept button, s/he will see a signature pop-up like it is shown below.
Once client signs the proposal, s/he will receive automated email to download the proposal PDF (with signature certificate and audit trail of the proposal document - which makes it legal document).
If you have enabled payment option for the proposal, after signing the proposal, client will be shown next step ie. to make advance payment. Please find more information about Stripe integration (which enables payment) here.
